What is the Claber 8498 MyAquaSolar water timer?

The Claber 8498 MyAquaSolar is an automatic Two-Zone irrigation timer powered by a built-in solar panel, designed to control garden watering schedules without the need for batteries or mains electricity.  It is controlled solely by smartphone via the myAquaSolar app and Bluetooth® technology. You must have installed the myAquaSolar app on your smartphone to start using the product. The myAquaSolar app is available on Google Play®  and the App Store®. 

Does the MyAquaSolar water timer require batteries?

No. The timer is completely battery-free. It uses an integrated solar panel combined with an internal rechargeable energy storage system.

Will the timer work on cloudy days or in shaded areas?

Yes. The internal energy storage allows the timer to operate even on cloudy days. Equipped with a built-in photovoltaic panel, this timer is powered by solar energy, even when the panel is not exposed directly to sunlight.

How many watering zones?

The Claber 8498 has two Water Watering Zones, both independently programmable.

Can the control unit be disconnected from the water timer?

Yes. Press the locking button on the base of the water timer to release the control unit, allowing it to be placed in direct sunlight if required. 

How many watering programs can be set?

The Claber 8498 allows two daily watering cycles with adjustable start times and durations, giving flexibility for different plants and seasonal conditions.

What is the watering duration?

From 0 to 4 hours per cycle.

Can the watering duration be adjusted?

Yes. Watering duration can be easily set by the myAquasolar App, allowing precise control to avoid over- or under-watering.

Is the timer suitable for low-water-pressure systems?

Yes. It is designed to work reliably with standard domestic water pressure and is compatible with most gravity-fed systems when sufficient pressure is available. The operating water pressure is between 0.5 and 10 bar

Is the MyAquaSolar timer weatherproof?

Yes. The timer is designed for outdoor use and is resistant to rain and typical garden weather conditions.

Does it have a manual watering function?

Installation is simple and tool-free. The timer screws directly onto a standard ¾" (20–27 mm) tap and connects easily to your hose or irrigation system. Caution: tighten the collar only by hand. Do not use wrenches or other tools.
