Irrigation Kits
Irrigation kits are a versatile solution for ensuring your plants, vegetables, herbs, and trees receive a consistent water supply. These kits are not limited by soil type, as they work effectively with all types, including clay. What's more, they can be used all year round, adapting to the changing needs of your plants and the seasons.
Water is placed directly into the soil at strategic points via small water emitters at each plant or in a line along a hose pipe, more commonly called the main tube. The Advantages of irrigation kits are that you can save water and direct it where needed most, rather than spraying it across a wider surface area. This cuts down dramatically on the amount of water lost through evaporation or is directed to places where it will not benefit your plants or soil. It also allows the water to reach the soil and plant roots rather than landing on the leaves or blooms of larger plants, shielding the smaller ones from accessing water sprayed from above.
If desired, you can hide the irrigation tubes with mulch or strategically placed plants and leaves. This also protects the kit from direct exposure to the sun or heat. Watch out, however, that the tubes are not covered so deeply that the water becomes blocked from coming out of the emitter holes or that trapped moisture does not cause mould to flourish on the plants.
