Hose Connectors
Hose Pipe Connectors & Couplings
In irrigation systems, the terms connector and coupling are often used interchangeably to describe the same part—a fitting designed to join two components securely.
Water connectors can transform a simple garden hose into a versatile watering tool suitable for use around the entire garden. They allow you to join multiple hose lengths together to reach distant areas, connect a hosepipe to an outdoor tap, or attach accessories such as sprinklers and soaker hoses. This makes it possible to adapt a single hose for multiple tasks, without needing to purchase different hose types or lengths.
There is a wide selection of water connectors available, each designed for a specific purpose. Choosing the correct one for your hose and tap is essential. Please make sure that both the hose and connector diameters match.
Always check whether you need a male or female connector, and avoid forcing the connector onto the hose or tap. Twist firmly into place, but do not overtighten.
Tip: to fit a connector to a hose pipe, it is worth warming the hose pipe by dipping the end in warm water for a short time. This will gently soften the hose, make the installation process easier, and create a snug, water-tight connection.
