Claber Aqua-Magic
The Claber 8063 Aqua Magic System is a solar-powered ready-to-use kit. It includes a timer, solar panel, and built-in pump to draw water from a water container, filter, and deliver it to 20 drippers. It uses two rechargeable AA 1.2v NiMH 1800mAh batteries (not included).
Fifty-four possible irrigation solutions, which can be set with just two rotating knobs: one with the frequencies (between 1 and 7 days), the other with the amount of water each dripper will emit (between 40ml and 200ml). The kit can be used with any water container. (Our Tip - add some water-soluble fertiliser to the water container to feed your plants as you water. The fertiliser should be a very weak mix. Otherwise, the plants will be overfed.
The kit contains
- One solar timer pump
- One anti-siphon flow black valve
- 1/4 suction filter
- One bracket with screws and plugs for optional wall mounting
- 20 self-regulating drippers
- 20 metres of 1/4" feeding tube
- 20 support stakes
- 6 1/4" 3-Way couplings
- 6 Hole Plugs
- MPN 8063
- EAN 8000625080632

Performance Considerations
- With 20 drippers installed, the maximum daily water delivery (at the highest setting, 200 ml per dripper) would be 4,000 ml (i.e., 4 litres) per cycle.
- For a lower number of drippers (e.g., 10), you can still operate, but performance scales accordingly. The manual recommends using between 10 and 20 drippers.
- Because the system draws from a container (not mains pressure), the suction hose must reach the bottom of the tank, and no siphoning or flooding issues should occur; the anti-siphon valve prevents back-flow.
- Must ensure adequate sunlight exposure to keep batteries charged, especially when used frequently or in less sunny locations.
- In winter or colder climates, the timer should be removed, batteries taken out, and stored in a frost-free location. Note that the manufacturer's warranty does not cover frost damage.
- Since the drippers are “self-regulating” but fixed in output ranges, if you have plants with widely varying watering needs, you may need to adjust the number of drippers, spacing, or use supplementary irrigation.
- The feeding tube is ¼″ diameter (≈ 4–6 mm) — note that pressure drop may increase with long runs of tubing, especially if multiple branches; although the system is supplied via a pump, you should keep the layout reasonable for best performance.

Additional Information
- The unit is independent of mains water and mains electricity: the pump draws water from any tank or container (e.g., rainwater butt) and the timer is powered via solar panel + rechargeable batteries.
- The programming is very simple: two dials on the unit — one for “water quantity per dripper” and one for “watering frequency”. Once set, the system automatically repeats the watering cycles at those intervals.
- Manual watering mode: you can select a manual option (100 ml per dripper) via the frequency dial, after which the system resumes the preset schedule.
- Installation guidance: The timer unit must be mounted in a place exposed to direct sunlight (so that the panel can charge the batteries) and positioned correctly relative to the water level in the tank (timer should be between 15 cm and 3 m above the tank bottom).
- The system is suitable for gardens, terraces, small vegetable patches, or multiple pots/containers — essentially where mains water and power are inconvenient.
- It uses self-regulating drippers (behaviour not adjustable individually), which simplifies installation.
