A day in the life of Topiary Garden weeks 16 to 20 2013


Fuchsia hanging baskets

May 15th. We have been potting up fuchsia hanging baskets this week. Two well known brands of hanging basket compost has been used (hence the different colour baskets). We shall be recording the growing results in our trailing fuchsia growing diary.


Harris HospisCare Plant Sale and Farmers Market

May 11th. Today we were at the Harris HospisCare Plant Sale and Farmers Market in Orpington selling fuchsias to help raise some funds for a great cause.

Number two

May 9th. Hedera Helix Gold Child (ivy) grown up one of our Number Two topiary frames. The plant is 2 years old and has taken a battering with the cold winter and spring, we are hopeful it will fill out by mid summer. Our Topiary Number frames are available here.

Tulip Angelique

May 8th. Tulip Angelique another of the tulips we have grown this year.

May 7th. Tulip carnaval de nice in bloom.

Llanbrynmair station

May 6th. Just spent the most wonderful weekend with some very special people at their new home Llanbrynmair Station - mid Wales.

May 3rd. Shadowdancer fuchsia Alice in bloom.

tulip Monsella

April 25th. With large blousy blooms Tulip Monsella brings some colour to the garden.

April 23rd. Gardeners World suggested that some gardeners think of Celedines as an unwelcome invader. Not us - this plant is very welcome in the garden.

Fox pups

April 22nd. This morning the fox pups emerged from under the cabin for a photo shoot.

April 21st. The moon at 2015 this evening.

April 19th. Some needed colour in the garden at last. Primroses in bloom.
